Steven Ulrich, MBA, CFP®, ChFEBC℠ is a Financial Planning Specialist and has been with the firm since August 2017. He works closely with the Director of Financial Planning, developing high-level analyses in the areas of retirement, estate, and tax planning. Steven also provides customized reports necessary for clients’ individual financial planning needs.
Steven assists with the onboarding of new clients, as well as reviewing current investment allocations. He prepares reports that are essential for the ongoing management of client accounts, such as analysis of cash flow strategies, employee benefits, and retirement planning.
Prior to joining Cassaday & Company, Inc., Steven served as a retirement specialist for a national trade association, providing guidance and education to participants in defined benefit and defined contribution plans. He is not registered with Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. or Cassaday & Company, Inc.
Steven is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner, a professional designation he attained through Northwestern University’s School of Professional Studies. He is also a Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant (ChFEBC℠), a specialization that focuses on retirement benefits for federal employees, including CSRS, FERS, and the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). Steven earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and obtained his Bachelor of Science in financial management from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina.
Steven lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and daughter. He is an active member of his church in Washington D.C. and enjoys soccer, UNC basketball, and relaxing with family in his free time.
