Michael Sweeney Financial Planning Specialist

Mike Sweeney, CFP®, is a Financial Planning Specialist at Cassaday & Company, Inc., and has been with the firm since July of 2019.

Mike works closely with Founder, Chairman & CEO Stephan Cassaday, assisting with client meetings, onboarding new clients, and tracking and predicting clients’ evolving needs and circumstances. Mike also provides analyses on a wide range of financial planning activities, including personal and business cash flow, employee benefits, tax planning, and estate planning.

Mike graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) with a bachelor’s degree in finance with a concentration in Financial Planning. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®)*, a professional designation he attained through Virginia Tech’s CFP® Board Registered Program. Mike also holds the Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations, as well as Life and Health Insurance Licenses in Virginia.

In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and golfing. Mike currently resides in Arlington, VA.
