Conor Maguire is a Paraplanner in the Financial Planning Department at Cassaday & Company, Inc. and joined the firm in September 2019. He works closely with Stephan Cassaday and the Director of Financial Planning, developing high-level analyses in the areas of retirement, estate, and tax planning. Conor also provides customized reports that are necessary for clients’ individual financial planning needs.

Conor assists with the onboarding process of new clients, reviews investment allocations, and prepares essential reports for the ongoing management of client accounts. He also helps with the analysis of cash flow planning, employee benefits, and retirement services.

Conor attended The Catholic University of America where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science along with an economics minor. He was also awarded the degree of Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. While attending law school, he served as a student attorney in the Columbus Community Legal Services Clinic, providing legal services to underserved and underrepresented communities. Conor was an active member of the Moot Court Association and was a finalist in the J. Braxton Craven Jr. Memorial Competition at the University of North Carolina.

Conor’s background includes nearly three years of experience with a Washington, D.C. law firm where he specialized in contract law and provided comprehensive legal research and drafting services. Prior to joining Cassaday & Company, Conor worked as a financial advisor for New York Life and NYLIFE Securities, LLC.

Conor is currently pursuing the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) designation through George Mason University’s CFP Board Registered Program. Conor is registered with Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. and Cassaday & Company, Inc. He holds the FINRA Series 6 and 63 securities registrations, as well as his Life, Health, and Annuities licenses.

Conor is a member of the Financial Planning Association of the National Capital Area. He is an active member of the Columbus School of Law Alumni Association and the Securities Law Program.

Conor currently resides in Arlington, Virginia. In his free time, he enjoys golf, tennis, skiing, piano, attending concerts and sporting events, and travel.
